Has your eyelid been closed by a neurological condition?
Blepharospasm is a neurological condition that forcibly closes the eyelids. Examples are abnormal blinking and an eye tic or twitching. These abnormalities can result from multiple causes such as dry eyes, Tourette syndrome, and tardive dyskinesia.
For some, blepharospasm can be treated nonsurgically. Injecting Botox into the muscles around the eyelids has proven to be an effective treatment for abnormal eyelid spasms.
